Coming up at the Mantorville Opera House
Congratulations to Word Players, who have sold out their 7:00PM performance of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at the Mantorville Opera House on Saturday, December 20. Call (507) 378-2910 to see if they still have room at their 4:30PM show!
We're excited about the rest of our 2008-2009 season! In February of 2009, we know you'll want to join us for "The Odd Couple" written (of course!) by Neil Simon and directed by Kent Griffin. April 2009 marks the return of a great favorite of ours: "The Nerd", written by Larry Shue and directed by Bob Soland. See our Schedule page for more details!
Of course, June will mark the beginning of our 2009-2010 season with the 38th year of the Mantorville Melodramas!
Please plan on paying by check or cash. We regret to say that we do not accept the various forms of credit and debit cards. Cash, personal checks, and large blocks of gold bullion are accepted (sorry, no change given for the bullion!).
Seeking talented, energetic dramatists for our 2009 - 2010 season! Directors! Pianists! Set Builders! Costumers! Box Office Managers! We are in need of your talents and we would like to hear from you. Please send your interest, availability, and if we don't know you, a brief resume to PO Box 194 in Mantorville, MN 55955. Directors - please also include at least two play titles that you would like to direct, with some background on each. You can find topical and schedule information on our "Join The Fun" page.
Our season is just part of the many exciting things to do in Mantorville. There are antique buildings for touring from the Mantorville Restoration Association and the Dodge County Historical Society, antique stores and other businesses for browsing and buying and fine dining. Check out http://www.mantorvilletourism.com/calendar.htm for more information. For information on the city, in general, try www.mantorville.com.
Audience participation is a requirement for the melodramatic portion of our season. Come prepared to cheer for the hero and heroine, boo the villain or villainess, and applaud the efforts of our characters (or groan at their jokes!)
We encourage LARGE groups (of ten or more). To learn about group discounts, examine our shopping page.
