Final Weekend of the Summer Melodrama season September 12-14!

"Meet Me at the Rendezvous" or "Searching for Hope" by Sandra Hennings Miller, playing Fri/Sat/Sun August 22 - September 14, 2014 (except September 7.)

Friday, September 12, is nearly sold out. Still plenty of tickets available for September 13 and 14.

Hope Manchester fell in love with Oscar Billings.  Oscarís dream was to go west and make his fortune in furs. Hopeís father was very much against their marriage and cut Hope out of his will.  Undeterred, Hope and Oscar left to go fur trading. Shortly after they left , Hopeís father died.  Sisters Faith and Charity felt their father was very unfair and went in search of Hope to give her her share of the inheritance.  They hire Claude Crimley, who promised to take them to the fur trading fort to find her.  Ah, but Claude has other plans for the girls and their money .  Will Faith and Charity find Hope?

We are pleased to bring you this premier production of an original play written with our stage in mind. Adult tickets are $9 and reduced rate tickets are $8. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows play at 2:00 p.m.

"Hjemma's Dilemma" or "Who Stole the Lutefisk" by Cheryl A Frarck.  November 21 - December 14. Auditions will be October 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Opera House.

"Church Basement Ladies" by Jim Stowell and Jessica Zuehlke, with music and lyrics by Drew Jansen.  February 6 - March 1, 2015.

"Love, Sex and the IRS" by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore.  Fri/Sat/Sun April 10 - March 3, 2015.

We are looking for a few good people to volunteer to take tickets and host a sales table during the rest of our 2013-14 season. Contact us is you are interested.


Audience participation is a requirement for the melodramatic portion of our season. Come prepared to cheer for the hero and heroine, boo the villain or villainess, and applaud the efforts of our characters (or groan at their jokes!)

Seeking talented, energetic dramatists for our  future productions!  Directors! Pianists! Set Builders! Costumers! Box Office Managers!
